Notepad++ is a free (as in “free speech” and also as in “free beer”) source code editor and Notepad replacement that supports several languages. Running in the MS Windows environment, its use is governed by GPL License.
This project is mature. However, there may be still some bugs and missing features that are being worked on. If you have any questions or suggestions about this project, please post them in the forums. Also, if you wish to make a feature request, you can post it there as well. But there’s no guarantee that I’ll implement your request.

Notepad++ is an editor of source code which supports several languages. This program, coded in C++ and uses 100% Win32 API and STL, provides an editor of small source code (of binary size) and effective (performance of execution). It is under license LPG.
Not only Notepad++ uses the Scintilla edit component (a very powerful editor component), but it is developed more to facilitate the life of the developers with a IHM (Interface Man Machine) entirely configurable.
The software is indeed Multi-Sights. Notepad++ can post two documents at the same time. You can thus publish 2 different documents and easily pass from the one to the other without needing to change window but also only one document, in two different sights.
