What’s new in version 2.9?
- Added reference SendTo items in PeaZip’s path to simplify customizing installation, to share those items between users, and to use this type of system integration for PeaZip Portable
- New default icon library with icons from Seven theme
- Cascaded context menu with icons, since in Windows 7 and later cascading menu implementation is supported through registry settings, which is now recommended over COM methods

PeaZip is a free, powerful and open Source compressor/de-compressor. Although another one of its strong points are, presumably its ease of use.
With its personalize able interface and at the same time class and without ornaments, it is almost a pleasure of creating 7Z, ARC, BZ2, GZ, PAQ/LPAQ, PEA, QUAD, TAR, UPX or ZIP files. PeaZip also opens, deciphers, separates or joint ACE, ARJ, CAB, DEB., ISO, LHA, RAR, RPM files. It can also check the integrity of these files. Note that the software contains a module of safety as well as possible to lock your sensitive files with its native format PEA AES256 EAX authenticated encryption.
As far as supported formats, PeaZip fulfills rather well. He is able to create compressed files in 10 different formats and can decompress 95 different formats, between which they emphasize ZIP, ISO and RAR.
Free, Open Source, flexible and powerful, PeaZip is an excellent tool.
