Review:
Ubuntu Netbook Remix is a special version of the famous Ubuntu distribution bound for the netbooks, the new generation of laptops at low prices designed for the simple office automation spots and Internet browsing.
Still very little used on the traditional computers, Linux has serious assets to become a credible alternative on the market of the netbooks. Not very greedy in resources, reliable and insensitive with the majority of the malwares, the free system offers all the standard applications to communicate, to read multimedia files or surf on Internet.
For Ubuntu Netbook Remix, the developers of Linux the most popular distribution of the moment entirely reconsidered their system to provide a satisfactory experiment on the limited configurations of the netbooks.
The result is more than convincing. The interface, conceived to measure for the small screens at the same time is successful aesthetically and very simple to take in hand. The traditional office leaves the place to a menu in full screen with the headings on the left and of large icons in the center.
A click on the + sign of an icon makes it possible to add it to the Favorites for a rapid access. All the software opens in full screen. One can switch from one application to another very simply with tabs system resembles that of Web browsers.
Under the cap, Ubuntu Netbook Remix is a complete Linux distribution. It offers touts refinements of the last version of Ubuntu like the online services Ubuntu One. Hardware support has enjoyed a close collaboration with Intel, leading supplier of netbooks with Atom processors.
On the side of software, Ubuntu NetBook Remix provides a full pack for the desktop with OpenOffice.org and Firefox for Web upon installation. For instant messaging, venerable Pidgin is replaced by Empathy, compatible with Yahoo, MSN, Jabber, AIM and Google Talk instant messaging client. Many other software programs are available from the Ubuntu archive or Synaptic Package Manager.
The use of Ubuntu NetBook Remix is very pleasant. Translations and localization are blameless. Newcomers to Linux may even be disappointed to never see a command line. Ubuntu NetBook Remix demonstrates brilliantly Linux potential of mainstream systems on the market. Thanks to the developers.

I just installed an in-wall computer in my bathroom with a pull out keyboard tray and, with all do respect, this is the first blog I read while taking a number 2. This is getting bookmarked because it will always have a place in my heart, and bathroom.
Thanks for the great read.
