Microsoft has sold over 60 million Windows 7 licenses, Q2 results

Microsoft today announced a record revenue for the second quarter ended Dec. 31, 2009. Microsoft confirmed it had sold more than 60 million Windows 7 licenses in the second quarter making it the fastest selling operating system in history.

The revenue increase was a 14% increase from the same period of the prior year resulting in $19.02 billion revenue for the second quarter.
