ThreatFire AntiVirus Free 4.7

ThreatFire is dramatically different to traditional antivirus software. Normal antivirus products usually need to have first identified and seen a threat before they can provide adequate protection against it. The protection is then provided via a signature or fingerprint update, which must first be written by an antivirus researcher. This creates a large window of time where threats are undetected and can therefore infect your PC even when you have antivirus software installed.
ThreatFire continually protects your PC against attacks by detecting malicious behavior, such as capturing your keystrokes or stealing your data, instead of only looking for known threats like normal antivirus software. By implementing sophisticated real-time behavioral analysis ThreatFire is able to stop never- before-seen “zero-day” threats solely by detecting their malicious activity.

Review:
ThreatFire is an interesting AntiVirus program that controls the behavior of applications and processes in real time, blocking any suspicious actions.
A traditional antivirus simply compare files that probes with a database of data and if it finds a match, mark a file as virus and locks. ThreatFire works somewhat different. Controls the behavior of applications, processes and procedures of installations and if recognizes a threat report.
ThreatFire should not be considered a replacement for an AntiVirus. On the contrary, I advise for best security practice to make it work in parallel to an antivirus and firewall. Also because you can perform scans to command only against rootkits and malware, but not against viruses with ThreatFire.
At the level of options, ThreatFire is fully configurable. Specifically, you can set the advance rules processes to consider trustworthy, so as to not receive notification when using secure programs. Definitely useful option Control system activity shows the explanatory report, although a little technical, on all processes and active programs.
