Developed by the authors of CCleaner, Recuva is a free utility that allows you to recover accidentally deleted files from your computer. Recuva allows search and recovery of deleted data quickly and easily.
Recuva uses the fact that deleted files are still physically present on the media, thus allowing recovery (full or partial) of data with appropriate software, such as Recuva.
The program stands out for its effective and disarming ease of use. You will need to select the drive (the hard disk, floppy, removable drive) and start scanning. Recuva will indicate whether and what files are recoverable and State they are in. Files marked in green will be completely restored, the other-to some extent or at all. Clicking recover button is enough to come to the deleted files and Recuva restores the data to a desired location. However, the freeware lists data not always with the original name, which makes it difficult to find.
