Speccy 1.00.125 Beta

What’s in your computer? If you’re like most of us, you can probably name the processor (Intel or AMD, Celeron or Pentium), maybe how much RAM it has, and maybe how big the hard drive is.
When you go to a computer store and see all the bright shiny PCs laid out next to each other, most will have tags or stickers indicating the:
- Processor brand and model
- Hard drive size and speed
- Amount of memory (RAM)
- Graphics card
- Operating system
Two or three years later, when it comes time to upgrade your computer, that tag or sticker may be long gone. Speccy was designed as a free electronic “what’s inside” sticker for your PC.

Review:
Speccy is the latest invention of Piriform, the producer of CCleaner. Is a utility that can show detailed information about components installed on your computer including real-time charts. The details appear in a clear and pleasant interface. You can take a snapshot, useful for comparisons afterwards.
Speccy can tell a lot of information about the components of your PC. Divides the data into specific categories for components like CPU, RAM, Video Card, Motherboard, Hard Disk and Optical drives. In addition it shows general information about your PC in summary section with a glance on the main elements of the configuration of your PC.
The data obtained with Speccy is numerous: just to take one example of processor, you’ll know the exact model, the step of CPU, the number of cores, the operating frequency, the cache, the temperature of each core and more. The detail of the information provided should appeal to sharp-eyed. On certain components Speccy can show charts of the progress of temperatures, frequencies and so on. To open a chart, simply click on its thumbnail button to make it larger.
Still in beta, but you can download public beta build and discover in detail the configuration of your computer, then save or pass the information to anyone who requests it.
