Review:
The Amarok is an audio player for Linux, Unix, MacOS X and Winows. Easy to configure and use, full of features, shortcut keys, and access to online music services.
On the left side, Amarok shows collection, Web functions, playlists and files. An integrated MySQL database provides good performance even with very large music collections. Another focus of Amarok is the connection to the Internet. You can drag and drop playlists, podcasts and whole podcast channels to add them to the device or service. Amarok integrates web services like Last.fm, Ampache, OPML Podcast Directory, Magnatune, MP3tunes, Librivox, The Echo Nest Recommendations and Jamendo Service, enabling to listen the music through the Internet and also has a complete collection of streaming radio stations to listen songs from specific styles.
Amarok is really an amazing music player. Many unique features, impressive interface and stressed non-commercial orientation make this player a wonderful playground for music enthusiasts and a good example of what a music player can do everything.
