Review:

QuickTime is Apple’s answer to Microsoft Windows Media Player. The fight between the two giants in the field of video playback has always been fascinating, ever since Apple came out in the market with .MOV video format. Lighter, capable of giving excellent levels of resolution higher than other encoding formats has long been the user’s favorite, especially by video professionals. All in an intuitive and clean, in pure Mac style, incredibly easy to install and use.

The latest version of QuickTime Player not only delivers superior image quality compared to earlier versions, its operation has been greatly improved. It no longer requires the user to manually set the network option but it automatically detect your system’s connection speed and provides the highest quality video stream depending on your network bandwidth conditions.

QuickTime Player delivers superior multichannel audio. It enables up to 24 channels of audio and support for H264 video will turn your home into home theater.  One and only big failure of QuickTime Player is that it requires installation of plug-ins to digest the DivX, XviD, MKV and others formats.

Neither Quicktime nor Windows Media Player.

MPC or KMPlayer are better than those 2.

    .ts is in perfect HD.

    Apple can’t make excellent software.
