Google does not recommend migrating to Office 2010
While consumers will have to wait until the month of June, but for businesses, Microsoft Office and SharePoint 2010 were launched today. Google celebrates this event in his own way by recommending the upgrade from Office 2003 or Office 2007 to Google Docs.
To promote its online Desktop tools, Google says that Google Docs is an alternative choice to the costly and laborious upgrade to which they are accustomed. Google Docs has regular improvements and recently they have introduced a new documents editor providing real-time collaboration with up to 50 people working on a file.
According to Google, if you already own Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007, there is no need to uninstall them, as Google Docs will improve your experience with it. For example, you can store any file including Microsoft Office file formats to Google Docs and share them in their original format. Google is also working on enabling real-time collaboration directly in Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007.
