I've used both ATI and NVidia over the last 10+ years. Both ATI and NVidia cards of nearly the same generation seem to be close enough in performance as not to be an issue with me! However what is an issue is that the ATI cards have drivers that can't be depended on. My current ATI-HD4870x2 won't run correctly at all with the 10.5-10.8 drivers. In the past I've also had many driver issues with the many other ATI cards I've owned. I've never had any issues at with any of the NVidia cards or drivers, even when I installed drivers that were released long before the new hardware was created, the cards worked! Plus the Physics in the NVIdia cards really works and while it may not always improve frame rates, the Physics processors always reduce the load on the main CPU!

First i had an ati graphic card, i don't remember the model, it fried after 2 years, never tried to overclock it. I also had an nvidia geforce fx5200 128mb that fried after 5 years, but this one i overclocked it to see the performance increase.

Both are excellent. I have a GeForce FX 5500 with 256 MB and it is working flawlessly. But I'd like to have ATI Radeon HD 5870 (who don't want hehe)

Thrilling article. I admire much competition from both companies. Competition is good that benefits their clients. In my opinion, ATI is slightly better than NVIDIA.
