Review:
Administrators, enthusiasts and who else depends on wireless connection always search the maximum it can offer. For this there are several applications. The inSSIDer is more than an option so that you have total and absolute control over data traffic circulating on a wireless network.
The application makes graph with the signal strength of the connection over a timeline to simplify the interpretation of the user. This information is the basis for the identification of problems and of course the solution. This utility scans networks in range of your antenna, captures the signal strength at time intervals defined and determines the level of security, including whether they are password protected or not.
Commonly, many routers use the same channel, which causes network congestion and thus leaves the weak Wi-Fi signal. The inSSIDer helps you identify exactly this type of problem.
The inSSIDer uses the native application for Wi-Fi and monitors your network card. The results of analyses are sorted by MAC address, SSID, Canal, RSSI and Time Last Seen, i.e. the last time that a connection has been observed.
Interface Data
The inSSIDer scans both encrypted and unencrypted signals. It points out randomly a color for each access point (AP). These colors are used to display the signal strength of an AP and the stronger the signal, the greater the magnitude of the chart.
Protected/encrypted Access points are presented with solid lines, while unprotected connections are represented by broken lines and points. Tables can be sorted by signal strength, SSID, encryption type or any other. If you consider an unnecessary column, right-click on it to hide it.
Preferences and Settings
In preferences you can set when the inSSIDer must withdraw the inactive connections from the list. Generally, if you are on the move, the ideal is to withdraw inactive connections after maximum five minutes. You can also set the time interval between a scan and another.
GPS
If you have a compatible GPS equipment and advanced technical knowledge about the system, you can export data from inSSIDer. In Preferences, go to the GPS tab and select the option Enable GPS.
In the lower-right corner, the application list connection status and you will also find the locations of updated access points. To export the data to Google Maps or Google Earth, enable the option “Enable Logging” in GPS preferences.
Car Kit
Developers of inSSIDer also invented a kit for cars with antenna, adapter, USB and GPS to find good spots quickly. All data collected by the application may be transferred to Google Earth without any difficulty. The kit is sold on the Developer’s website for $ 99. If you have the equipment, it may be that you create your own Hunter Wi-Fi.

Good program, displays useful information and graphs.
