Sandboxie is a program that creates an exclusive zone in which the installed softwares are executed. It is like creating a virtual space where all data is stored. Once the application is terminated, any change made to the system is eliminated. For example, when using a browser placed under the protection of the program can automatically delete data such as passwords, cookies and browsing history, which ensures greater user privacy.
How to Use?

Sandboxie works with a main window manager where all programs are displayed which are using the protected area created by the program. To add new programs, just drag the icon over the window to open using Sandboxie. An alternative method to start programs, so they are protected through the icon displayed in the Notification Area in Windows. Right click on Sandboxie icon in system taskbar and select “Default Box> Run Any Program” and in the next window browse the location of the application you want to protect.
By default, the program creates a single box to control the applications. However, for ease of management, user can create several other windows, which allows different programs into different categories. To do this, select “Box> Create New Sandbox.” The most efficient way to make sure that a program is protected with Sandboxie is check the name that appears at the top of the screen. If the term is followed by the symbol [#], it means that it is under Sandboxie protection and all data used will be deleted after the user quit.
Sandboxie is a mandatory program for those seeking more ways to have their computers secure against suspicious files and internet websites that contain spyware and other hidden malicious applications. The downside is that all data used is erased, but it’s a small price to pay to have total protection for your computer.
