How to stop YouTube Autoplay in Chrome, Firefox and Opera
If you are an active user of YouTube and you open couple of videos simultaneously, then what happens? You let all of them buffering up without any option to decide whether or not see that particular video. You do not always want to hear other opened video’s sound when you’re watching another. The sound in the background becomes irritating, is not it?
To overcome this problem, read this small guide which will help you to disable Autoplay option in YouTube using Firefox, Chrome and Opera browser.
For Mozilla Firefox Fans:
Stop Autoplay is a simple extension for Mozilla Firefox that is aimed to avoid the automatic playing of any video and allowing to only play videos which user really want to see. Once installed the add-on, each video is placed in standby mode and will not play until user clicks on it, as it should be. The extension is compatible with other online video services too. Stop Autoplay has two ways to avoid the automatic playing of video; automatic pause the player and lock embedded player.
For Google Chrome Fans:
Stop Autoplay for YouTube is an extension for Google Chrome browser that was developed to prevent autoplaying YouTube videos when a page is opened. With this add-on, you can easily control Autoplay option. The extension performs its function automatically; it keeps the video on hold until the user hit the button to play. Stop Autoplay for YouTube allows pre-buffering, but does not start it at the time the page is opened.
For Opera Fans:
YousableTubeFix is a script that modifies the entire interface of the website the way you prefer. Through the settings, you can disable autoplay of videos, choose how many comments appear per page, the display of related videos, footer, skip verification of age and choose the quality of the video being watched. The video will be automatically resized to fit the width of the screen. You also have the option of downloading the video, just click on it and choose among formats like FLV or MP4.

Right-click on the Install button and select “Save link as” to download the JavaScript file to your computer. You can browse the downloaded file through Opera button > Settings > Preferences > Advanced > Content > JavaScript options.
