If you don’t know the make, model, serial number or other information about the hardware components installed on your PC, there is no way to find support, drivers, manuals and many essential items needed when doing maintenance or reinstallation. Often we really have no idea what’s inside the case.
CPU-Z is a program that gathers information on some of the key hardware devices on your computer. It does not require any installation, or can be copied to mobile devices such as USB drives and be carried with you anywhere. Maintenance technicians will find the CPU-Z Portable a versatile tool to see inside your client’s computer without the need to unscrew the case to look inside, because the program takes care of gathering the data you need. Each tab separated fields brings about many details of the internal components and the best is that everything is measured in real time.
CPU
The first part of this tab shows items of general processor such as Name, Technology, Core Voltage and Instructions it can execute. The second block of this tab displays the values of Processor Core Speed, Bus Speed and Cache.
Caches
This tab is somewhat irrelevant, since the CPU tab already has those values. But for aficionado values, tab tells how the cache is operating.
Mainboard
CPU-Z also tells several details about the Mainboard. Such details included in this tab are useful in case of loss of the installation CD for the board as to know what chipset it is to download the drivers that the card uses.
Memory
Clearly the Memory tab refers to the data of the memory modules on the computer. CPU-Z shows the fields items such as Memory type, Memory speed, delay times and latencies.
