There are huge number of websites that engage Internet users with the ability to share pictures with people and worldwide. Just like Picasa and Flickr, in greater or lesser degree, offer to share photos in albums with your friends and family or any other. The big software companies have turned their attention to programs that allow to treat your photos the way that suits you. These programs are simple to use, as functional as possible, because heavy and complicated interface is almost unusable by most users.
One such attempt to create a program that combines speed and convenience is Jalbum. With this program you can create thumbnails of your images and display them in index pages in HTML. You can also produce slide presentation of your images for easy navigation. The appearance of the generated albums can be fully configured through the use of various effects and features. The whole album is then sent to an FTP server.
Registration
To begin creating your album, you must first access the Jalbum website and register. Registration is required because you have a sub domain to publish their photos and albums. The result is an address like ours: http://raajpoot.jalbum.net/. After completing your registration, click the authentication link sent to your email. Now you can download the program and start building your photo albums.
Creating Albums
When you open the Jalbum for the first time, there is a button in the center of the screen that says “Add Photos”. Click it to select your images and add them to your album. You can add as many images as you wish. You can use the themes and styles to further enhance the appearance and then choose “Create Album” and Jalbum will do the rest of the work. You can also download new skins by clicking the “Get more skins”. You can still make changes to the settings panel of the program. Click on “Tools” and then “Preferences” to access it.
Edit, Review and Publish
The second phase of creating your photo album is editing photos, if necessary. To edit, just drag your mouse on your pictures and click “Edit”. Then just check what your image needs to be perfect and be published. Available options are red eye, adjust brightness and contrast, saturation and color control, pixelate, color inversion and several other interesting features.
You can insert captions to photos in this area of publishing. Just click on the text that is located below the picture and enter the caption you want. Now, just check if all your photos are the way you want and click “Make album” button. Jalbum will create a page with your photos so you can see how your album will look before it is published. If everything is correct, click “Publish” to put into the air.
