Process Explorer helps to track which applications are being run on your computer. Although you already have the Windows Task Manager, but this program has more complete options to view of what is being done on your machine. Developed by Sysinternals, a subsidiary of Microsoft, Process Explorer utility is a powerful program that lists all files, DLLs and active system processes on your PC. It is much more complete than default Task Manager on Windows systems and may replace it completely.

In process Explorer by selecting a process you can view the libraries and the linked files, pause, stop and change priority. An integrated system with Google may seek more information about a specific process on the Internet, in order to define whether it is a legitimate or malicious process. Process Explorer is also able to view more information about the system, such as the use of memory, processor and more. This is of course highly technical utility designed especially for system administrators and users with a thorough understanding of Windows.

This free tool is really powerful and well designed, should have a place on any computer running Windows. This is to ask, why Microsoft didn’t bundle it with its Operating System?
