Today I will teach you to remotely access a Linux machine from a Windows machine using the Remote Desktop Protocol. Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) allows users to remotely access other machines. The use of RDP Protocol is very frequent between Windows machines, however today we teach how to use the same protocol to access remotely Ubuntu. For this we will resort to XRDP service.

On Linux Machine

XRDP is very simple to install and is immediately operational. For this go to Applications >> Ubuntu Software Center

On Windows Machine

Now on Windows machine, open Remote Desktop Connection (Programs >> Accessories >> Remote Desktop Connection) and write the IP address of the Linux machine, where we have the XRDP service running and click Connect.
