Apple released a list of their best and most sold applications in year 2010, iTunes Rewind 2010. iTunes Rewind 2010 shows what the company believes to have been the best and most sold in their store, divided into three broad categories; Music, Applications for iPhone and Applications for iPad. Within each of these categories, the division into several sub-categories, which completes a huge list of songs, albums, artists and applications that passed through the iTunes Store over the year 2010.

Music: “Eminem” was elected the artist of the year; “Brothers, the Black Keys”, the album of the year; and “B.o.B.”, the best new artist. The best-selling music was “Hey, Soul Sister” and “Eminem’s Recovery album”.

TV: Several awards were divided by category/genre of serials. The best-selling episode was “The Power of Madonna, Glee”, and the best-selling season was the fourth of “Mad Men”.

Movies: The two best movies were “Toy Story 3” and “Inception”. At the top of the list of the most sold/rented is “The Hurt Locker”.

Apps for iPhone: Top free applications for iPhone are Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger, Talking Tom Cat and Shazam. Top paid applications for iPhone are QOTD, Angry Birds, Doodle Jump, Sleep Cycle Alarm Clock and Cut the Rope.

Apps for iPad: Top free applications for iPad are iBooks, Vuvuzela 2010, Google Earth, Google Mobile App and VLC Media Player. Top paid applications for iPad are Pages, GoodReader for iPad, Numbers, Keynote and Slice It.
