Americans Can’t Live Without High Speed Internet
High speed Internet was the largest technological impact of the decade and that is more needed to Americans, according to a new research.
Zogby International interviewed 1,950 adult Americans, 24% of which affirm that high speed internet had the greatest impact on their lives. In the second and third place were Facebook with 22% and Google with 10%. Technologies that people claim cannot live without, high speed internet ranked first with 28% of responses and email is second with 18%. When asked about what would be the largest technological advancement of next year, 24% of respondents said home entertainment, while 16% believe it will be in computing in general.
For the next decade, 43% of respondents predict the frequent use of stem cells and cloning techniques to create human organs and make transplants. Another 40% believe in deploying chips in people to monitor their state of health and the same percentage said that robots will be able to do labor jobs.
