Microsoft Is Pleased With Office for Mac 2011 Sales, Trial Version Announced
By offering interesting additions as compared to earlier versions, Office for Mac 2011 edition of the Microsoft productivity pack seems to be a great success for the company, according to an announcement made on their official blog. The Redmond giant hopes that its latest release for Mac OS X earn the attention of more people in the future; therefore they released today trial version of Office for Mac 2011 that can be used free of charge and without restrictions for up to 30 days.
Some news that deserve to be evaluated in the product are unpublished resources of PowerPoint to design presentations, support macros written in VBA in files created in Windows and the new Office Outlook, which aggregates e-mail, contacts and appointments in one place, taking home and corporate users.
For this week, Microsoft also hopes to interact extensively with Office users at Macworld Expo 2011, which will be held in the city of San Francisco, in the United States. For now, there is no forecast of seeing the suite (or their individual apps) marketed in Mac App Store, as Apple did with iWork.
