Microsoft Mathematics 4.0
If you are a student of mathematics, Microsoft Mathematics may be what you need to make your life a little easier. With Microsoft Mathematics you can represent tasks, find derivatives and integrals, perform operations with complex numbers, solve equations, generate graphs and more.
Microsoft Mathematics uses the Ribbon interface (same as Microsoft Office). You will find there two guides (worksheets and charts) that show the input, output and a visual representation. On the left side you find a calculator that contains the elements and options that can be added to the expression. This is very useful if the element cannot be entered via the keyboard.
Microsoft Mathematics also includes additional tools, such as equations and formula troubleshooter, a tool that helps you evaluate values and can help with many tasks, including:
- Compute mathematical functions, such as roots and logarithms
- Solve equations and triangles
- Compute trigonometric functions such as sine and cosine
- Perform operations with matrices and vectors
- Compute statistics such as average and standard deviation
- Perform operations with complex numbers
- Generate 2D and 3D graphics in Cartesian coordinates, spherical etc
- Find derivatives and integrals, limits, etc
- Convert measures from one unit to another
- Find, generate and troubleshoot formulas and equations
