PocoDoc Lite is a free tool that allows you to compress size of PDF files, Word, Excel and Power Point documents, without losing their formatting. PocoDoc Lite supports 19 compression levels, being 1 for highest compression and 19 to the lowest. It is important to choose the level of optimization according to the type of document that you have.
For example, if the document contains only text, use a normal compression method, as if the document contains many pictures, apply a higher compression method to reduce the final size of the document.
Use of PocoDoc Lite is very simple. After you run it, you’ll find an option to select the document you want to compress and an option to set the compression ratio that will be used. Click on “Browse” button to select the document you want to compress, choose the compression ratio of the file in the list and click the button “Optimize”.
When you click the “Optimize” button, the file will be sent to the servers of PocoDoc for compression. Once compressed, the file will be saved in the same folder as the original file, but with another name. The document is kept in its original format and the program also displays a comparison between the sizes of the original file and compressed file, and offers the option to open the file in default program.
PocoDoc Lite can compress the following file formats:
