How to change the Mac or physical address
The Media Access Control (MAC) address is the physical address of the network interface. It is a 12-digit number that identifies the network adapter of the computer on the internet. Most people in an attempt to avoid the trail of some activity or escape from identification of bots think just changing the IP address and forget to change the Mac address. In this short tutorial you will learn how to change it without changing your network card.
To know your Mac address simply Go to Start > type CMD and press Enter. Type “ipconfig /all” and press Enter. Note physical address there to verify the change later.
Fortunately there are some free options available for changing Mac address such as Technitium MAC Address Changer. This program has everything you need to perform the change of the physical address of your computer in an uncomplicated way.
After download just unzip the downloaded file and install it. After installing run the program and click “Change Mac”. Choose an address for your network card or click “Random Mac Adress” so that it is generated automatically. After it is done click “Change now”. To return your Mac address to the original state, click Change MAC button and then click Original MAC button.
