Create virtual desktops with Finestra Virtual Desktops
Virtual desktops offer a great way to organize and manage the programs that you use daily. For example, you can put all the programs related to work in a virtual desktop, personal programs in another and so on. Finestra Virtual Desktops is a free program for Windows that allows you to create multiple virtual desktops and switch between them by using shortcut keys.
By default, Virtual Desktops Finestra creates four virtual desktops; however, you can add more desktops from the system tray menu. By pressing the hotkey Win + Z you open a thumbnail preview of virtual desktops, where you can quickly switch between them, just select a desktop using the arrow keys and press “Enter” to open the selected desktop.
You can also switch between desktops by pressing Win + the number of the virtual desktop and also, if you are using Windows 7, you can view thumbnails of virtual desktops in Windows 7 taskbar and switch between them from the thumbnails displayed on the taskbar.
In program settings you can set hotkeys, automatically move programs to a virtual desktop, rename the virtual desktops, add new virtual desktops, etc.
